From Jack Dawson to Romeo Montague, Leonardo DiCaprio was everyone’s favorite actor in the 90s. How could you not love that hair and those eyes?! Don’t get me started!!! However, every average girl was heartbroken when he began dating a string of Victoria Secret’s models, first Gisele Bundchen and then Bar Refeali, and next to top it all off, Gossip Girl star Blake Lively. Let’s face it, although the 90s are long and gone, all girls still dream about marrying the hunk.

The day has come, and all single girls can rejoice – DiCaprio and his VS angel, Erin Heatherton have ended their relationship after one year of dating. Things even got pretty serious when the couple vacationed in Mexico last January, with Leo’s mother accompanying them! Say what!

Just like most Hollywood breakups, conflicting schedules was the reason for their split. There was not an iceberg or a bottle full of poison in sight!  Long distance relationships are hard to manage and this one was no exception. DiCaprio spent a large portion of the year in Australia filming The Great Gatsby and then went straight to New Orleans to shoot Django Unchained, while Heatherton was busy being with Victoria Secret’s appearances.

It is evident that Leo is going to be alone for the holidays. I know what I want for Christmas!

One of the most famous novels, The Great Gatsby, will finally make its debut in film on Christmas this year.  Lavish, secretive, and wonderfully elegant the 1920’s bloomed into the era of celebration.  In ‘The Great Gatsby’ Leonardo DiCaprio plays Jay Gatsby opposite of Carey Mulligan who plays the alluring Daisy Buchanan.

Fashion was a huge part of the 1920’s because it was one of the first times people began dressing as a way of self-expression.  The shimmering flapper dresses and sartorial elegant suits expressed the young and restless era.

Gatsby first made famous by Robert Redford in 1974, however in Baz Luhrmann’s 125 million dollar version Brooks Brothers has created authentic re-creations of 1920’s wardrobe.  The brilliant male co-stars Leonardo Dicaprio, Tobey Maguire, and Joel Edgerton will be wearing some of the 500 day and night looks Brooks Brothers has created for the film.

Brooks Brothers worked closely with the Academy award winning costume designer, Catherine Martin, to put together over 1,700 pieces including neckwear, accessories, and shoes.  Martin and the Brooks Brothers archivist discovered that F. Scott Fitzgerald was actually a customer at Brooks Brothers while researching popular styles, fabrics, colors, textures and tailoring.

WWD reported that Chief Executive Officer of Brooks Brothers, Claudio Del Vecchio praised Martin on her ability to “bring F. Scott Fitzgerald’s world to life.  She truly has defined the men’s wear of the Roaring Twenties with her creativity, attention to details and passion for the era”

The Great Gatsby isn’t the only production to be outfitted by Brooks Brothers.  The nations oldest retailer has dressed the actors of Mad Men, Glee, Law & Order and White Collar.  For all these reasons it is only fitting that Brooks Brothers is the obvious choice.

In the December-release Revolutionary Road, Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet collaborate for the first time since that one movie with a big ship. It was pretty good.

Anyway, Revolutionary Road, set in the 1950s, details the struggles of a young, married couple, played by DiCaprio and Winslet, to adjust to the post-World War II suburban “American dream.” The problem is neither spouse is living said dream.
