The Kardashians are fashion; they get it. You can tell this by the presence of Khloé on E!’s Fashion Police (the ultimate in fashion authorities), Kim’s constant presence at fashion shows and collaborative lines and now through their handbag collection. They’re untouchable.

Well, one of the funny things about being a deity in virtually all fashion design (shoes, bags, garments, accessories, you name it) is critique. Being at the top means you have a lot of haters.

One of my favorite segments on is the “Adventures in Copyright.” The staff will usually bring up copyright claims where lawsuits have been filed or simply just instances of intense ‘inspiration.’ This week, they noticed an incredible similarity between the new Kardashian bag collection and bags from other less notable brands like Balenciaga, YSL, Celine and Chanel. Obviously, the issue here is that these brands have been too intensely inspired by Kim and the gang.

Miss American dream since she was seventeen,” Britney Spears, is currently facing ridicule from former bodyguard Fernando Flores, who claims that the Pop princess has seriously poor hygiene. “She wouldn’t shower for days, and broke wind or picked her nose unselfconsciously and unapologetically,” he alleged. Of course, this follows the $10 million dollar lawsuit he held against her just last year for charges of sexual harassment which has since, apparently, caused him psychological damage, depression and insomnia. “Britney would walk around naked in front of me all the time,” said Flores. All I can say is, “ouch.” Can you imagine walking around naked in front of a guy and having him sue you because your body caused him depression and psychological trauma? I know sexual harassment is obviously wrong, but think about it, that is such a knock at the ego. There you are, naked in front of a man, and rather than pursuing you, he just sues you.

This story actually reminds me of a girl I used to work with. She was talking to me last year about her boyfriend’s addiction to Xbox. She said she appeared naked in front of him one night as he was in their room playing it, and rather than giving her his full attention, he told her to wait until the game was over and proceeded to chat with his friends via headset. I couldn’t imagine that one either: coming in second to Xbox. Either he was gay or had a serious addiction. Seems like both my friend from work and Britney could have used some of Jerk’s advice on how to boost your sex life because, clearly, naked disruptions just don’t cut it.

Kim Kardashian is reportedly suing Old Navy for $20 million after the company casted an apparent Kim Kardashian doppelganger to be in their commercials. Her name is Melissa Molinaro, and she bears a striking resemblance to Kim Kardashian. Kim claims that Old Navy purposely did this to use her celebrity and familiar face to sell their clothes. I don’t find it at all to be a coincidence that the lawsuit has just now been filed, since it recently came to light that Kim’s ex, Reggie Bush, is dating Molinaro. It most likely just added fuel to the fire.

Personally, I think the entire Kardashian clan is just a bunch of walking advertisements, and as much as I want to hate all of them, I’m addicted to their show, follow them on Twitter, bought their terrible book, and, for some ungodly reason, really want to set foot into one of their stores and buy a shirt.  I know, I’m a complete sell out. But the truth of the matter is: we can’t get enough Kardashian. It’s to the point where companies are hiring Kardashian lookalikes to boost their sales.
