Dressing Up Graphic T’s

Picture 2The one trend that many people should probably regret, is the Graphic Tee. American Eagle and Abercrombie & Fitch were some of the original go-to stores for both witty and borderline inappropriate graphic tees from back in the day. But, as you’ve probably guessed, the fashion world is bringing back the obsession, making graphic tees back in style.

The cheap t-shirts that people get on vacation for five dollars at a surf shop will never be considered fashionable, but the chic ones can certainly be revived. Because the casual tees are back again, I’ll lend you all some tips on dressing it up.

First, wear your wittiest favorite graphic tee with a pair of skinny jeans, boots, and throw on a slouchy sweater. This outfit is casual enough for class, and dressy enough for wearing out to lunch on the weekend (unless you happen to pick up any of these at the store.)

The graphic tees that are a little worn in look better than the ones with block print tacky letters in a tacky font. If it’s long enough, it could also be paired with black leggings and denim button-down, as long as the graphic tee itself is a neutral color.
After this season, it’d be a wise decision to donate those graphic tees though, because it could be decades before they’re back in style.

Fashionably yours,

Jenna Jacobsen
