With their unique sound and mask choices, Buffalo NY natives Matthew Tybor and Chris Hutka, bring fans from all different genres together. However, while listening and watching their music videos I wasn’t too thrilled until maybe the third listen/viewing. If they’re out of your musical comfort zone, going back and listening again will definitely help you appreciate what these guys are doing.

I’ve been trying to figure out what artists they sound similar to but this task is just so complex because they pull from so many different musical facets. Connor Burton, a dedicated fan of TBTB says, “They make their mark with their blend of different types of music and poetic lyrics mixed with different vocal styles to create some really awesome music.”

For instance, in the music video above, C’est pas si loin, a theatrical event is going on while their scream-o romantic lyrics are played. Their mix not only separates them from the rest of the music industry but also creates a separation between their songs.

As fan John Halstead says, “My favorite thing about The Bunny The Bear is the breakdowns. Even though they have catchy, up beat songs they come back hard with something to beat down to.”

Recently, The Bunny The Bear have been tweeting away about upcoming events and merchandise available. On July 28, the band was in Rochester, NY for a show at The Dub Land Underground. I hear there were a few technical difficulties but the show went off anyway and it was a hit.

Now being kinda new to the group, I don’t have all the details but I hear through the grapevine that there might be a 2.0 bear. Will there be a new face behind the Bear or could the internet be making up rumors again?
