Summer Skin Problems

I have very sensitive skin, and I’m sure I’m not the only one out there already suffering from the summer heat.  Whether its allergies or the weather for some reason my skin always gets irritated when summer hits.

After researching cures and concoctions I came across several remedies everyone should adopt, and the M-61 Power Cleanse.

It is one of the many new fads in facial skin care.  At a steep price of $34 a bottle this glycolic cleanser claims to be the best.  It leaves your skin feeling soft, hydrated and absolutely clean.  The science that makes this product special is in the glycolic acid, which removes dead surface skin cells and cleanses pores removing bacteria.  Their website recommends using only if you have combination or oily skin but it is also a great for exfoliating.

However, I’m a brand loyalist and I don’t think I’ll be trying any other skin care products other than Clinique’s.  Especially when they are that expensive.  So, I found three at home products you can use to keep your skin fresh during the summer.

If the summer sun is making your skin more red than bronze, try an equal parts mixture of greek yogurt, honey and baking soda.  This quick remedy will replenish the skin’s natural softness with the combination of fatty acids, sugars and vitamins.

For those of you with dryness issues give your skin a drink.  Soak a wash cloth in ice cold whole milk and lay it across your face for ten minutes.  The lipids from the fat in the milk will plump up your skin with hydration.

Also, a lot of people don’t realize that your lips get sunburned too.  So to prevent your lips for chapping at the beach make sure you use some kind of chapstick.  My personal favorite is MAC’s lip conditioner.  Put this on and I swear five minutes later you’ll be angel soft.
