The 50th anniversary revival of How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying has had a fair share of star power to back it up over its run. The revival opened in early March 2011 and three big name stars have graced the stage in the role of Finch.
How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying follows the story of Finch, a former window washer who uses less than honorable methods to climb the corporate latter. The show has had three runs on Broadway, originally premiering 1961. In 1995, there was a revival starring Broadway veteran Matthew Broderick.
First was a guarantee sell out star, Daniel Radcliffe, better known as Harry Potter. Radcliffe was in the show for a 10-month run, coinciding with the release of the final Harry Potter movie (how’s that for a timely sale booster). Daniel Radcliffe starred alongside John Larroquette.
Following Daniel Radcliffe’s departure, Darren Criss stepped in and took over the role of Finch. However, unlike Radcliffe’s lengthy run in the show, Criss’s time with the show was limited – only six weeks.
Now, fresh off his performance as Marius for the 25th anniversary of Les Miserables last year, Nick Jonas is the next to take over the role. Joining the cast along with him is former Ugly Betty star, Michael Urie.
