Could the Walk of Shame Lead to Love?

This video is probably every girl’s worst nightmare. It’s bad enough having to walk home in the same clothes you had on the night before, but to have an entire frat applaud you and last night’s man as you leave the premises is taking walk of shame to a whole new level.

Whether or not you find yourself sympathizing with the girl in the video and photo, you might want to take some pointers. According to a 2010 University of Iowa study on casual sex, results are proving that casual sex relationships often lead to long-lasting relationships. Yeah, you read that right. I found it crazy to believe myself.

But before you go walking around with your panties at your feet looking for a potential boyfriend, keep in mind that the study also points out that the results were found to be true only in guys with low numbers of casual sex partners. Meaning: it’s not something they do every Friday night, but maybe once a semester. So who knows, your after-midnight man might just be your next 2+ year relationship. And we all know that more sex is actually better for your health than every once in a while.

Tips to better catch his eye? Wear red. As I’ve learned from driving a red car and getting more speeding tickets and higher insurance bills than all my friends who drive normal-colored cars, red is the color of attraction. (Officer Matthews of Rochester, New York will totally vouch for me.) In a 2008 study, men were shown photos of women in various colors. The same model was shown wearing all different colors and none of the men noticed that the girl was the same. She was rated the highest while wearing red.
