Tina Fey, I Love You

It’s been a whirlwind week for the most important female comedian in the business: the one and only Tina Fey. Fey is not just a comedian, she is a comedy tycoon. From her stellar tenure at Saturday Night Live, to penning Mean Girls, to creating NBC’s hit sitcom 30 Rock, Fey has had a strong hold on the comedy world for over a decade.

While you might be inclined to think she has done it all, Tina’s career is showing virtually no signs of stopping. This past week alone has seen the release and subsequent book tour for her new memoir aptly titled Bossypants (a must read, critics say). When taking her book tour to The Oprah Winfrey Show, Fey revealed that at age 40, she is pregnant with her second child. In case you had any doubt, she is indeed Superwoman.

But that’s not all! Fey also made the joyous announcement that she will be hosting the May 7 episode of SNL. Will audiences be treated to a reprise of her famous Sarah Palin impression? “I hope so,” says Fey.

The comedian also took the time to shoot down a rumor, which came straight from the loud mouth of cast mate Alec Baldwin, that 30 Rock would be ending prematurely after next season.

“Him saying he’s officially done is the first indication that he’s staying,” Fey said.

I don’t know if it’s possible to love Tina Fey more than I already do, but then I keep reminding myself that it’s still early in the year and who know what more this phenomenal woman has in store for us.

I totally wrote a review for Bossypants for Tale! It was such a good book.

  2. Dee says:

Is it? Okay, good cause I was worried it might not live up to the hype. Definitely putting it on my summer reading list then!

  3. I love Tina, too. Bossypants was really, truly funny.

  4. […] show is just downright weird. Thank you NBC for the cancellation–can you please bring back Liz Lemon […]
