I thought the age of kids getting cell phones was going down but apparently, so is the drinking age. Lashawnda Evette Allen, a mother in the Houston area of Texas was charged recently with child endangerment because her 18-month-old was found intoxicated. Yes, you read that right, 18-months-old.

The baby had a blood alcohol level of 0.09. The mother allegedly fell asleep while her two daughters, both under the age of 18 months were asleep next her. She had been drinking a Four Loko and placed it next to her only to find that when she awoke her 18 month old was suckin’ that stuff down like a tank. The baby drank the entire can of Four Loko.

Partyin partying yeah partyin’ partying yeah’ fun fun fun, as Rebecca Black would say, but even this infant was too young to go out with Black and her friends. I bet the mother of these babies had fun in the county jail and has even more fun explaining how she could even let this happen.

As a baby I tried to drink everything and was even caught drinking perfume once…so it’s no wonder that her child got a hold of the can, especially with it being so bright and appealing in color. Allen’s roommate was the one who found the infant walking around laughing and falling over “like she was drunk” and called the ambulance. According to the Houston Chronicle, “Allen told police she did not call an ambulance because she did not want to get in trouble and lose her children, the probable cause complaint shows. Police accused her of then leaving the children alone in the apartment while she went outside to talk to a neighbor.”
