Syracuse Football: Fooling the Frosh

Posted: October 27, 2010 by jerkmag in VAULT -- archives, ZONE -- syracuse

Dear, dear freshmen: you have arrived at Syracuse University, worst winter weather capital of the U.S. You have experienced weekend parties, dining hall food, getting moo’ed at for walking in packs and most importantly, football games. Syracuse is lately a basketball school but the football team is making a comeback…or trying to. I advise all of you to get tickets for the rest of the home games. Yes, the season is almost over, but buying tickets now should be worthwhile since the Orange are 5-2. The team has a chance at making a bowl game this year. The last time SU went to a bowl was in 2004 and they lost 51-14. So, there’s only room to improve.

I believe this — don’t get use to it. Just like the lovely fall weather we’ve experienced so far —it will end and it will end poorly.
