Most students at SU know about the Syracuse Stage and SU Drama productions. Less well advertised but high quality are the Black Box Players productions. They’ve finally updated their website, and it looks like it’s going to be a promising season.

Going on now are three student directed and acted, one-act plays by Tennessee Williams: “The Palooka” directed by Raffy Ganimian, “Mister Paradise” directed by Alex Alcheh, and “…And Tell Sad Stories of the Death of Queens” directed by Emily Batsford.

The Black Box Theater is located at the Syracuse Stage, 820 East Genesee Street.  For tickets e-mail blackboxtickets@gmail.com but hurry because seating is very limited.

Evening Performances:

  • Thursday, October 28
  • Friday, October 29
  • Saturday, October 30

Matinee Performances:

  • Saturday, October 30

Did I mention that it’s FREE? I’m always a sucker for free theater so count me in.
