Being the oldest child is not all it’s cracked up to be. Cooper Manning, older brother to Peyton and Eli Manning and son of Archie Manning is the only Manning son without a Superbowl ring. Cooper played football in college at Ole Miss and was all set to tear open the NFL and continue the Manning legacy. Instead, he was diagnosed with spinal stenosis and had surgery in 1993. His football days were over.
Cooper was left in the shadows of Eli and Peyton, but maybe not being in the NFL worked out for him. I bet he’s mama’s favorite. He can spend a lot of time at home with his family. And he definitely got the tall, good-looking genes. He can still enjoy some of the perks of NFL players, if his younger brothers learned to share. And honestly, one Manning is as good as the next.
