Andy Rautins: last season’s shining star, and the most recognizable face of the SU basketball team (or, at least, the most easily noticeable, since he was virtually the only white player). Rautins was drafted to the New York Knicks during this year’s draft as the 38th pick overall.

The Knicks wanted Rautins because he is a shooter. He shot 3’s like nobody else last year, especially when we needed him the most. In last years’ game against Gonzaga, Rautins scored 24 points in the second half.

Rautins had mixed reviews for his first few games in the NBA Summer League and left one game with a twisted ankle. Rautins is a smart player and should perform well in the upcoming season — even if the Knicks don’t (which they won’t).
