Who calls anymore?

Nowadays, I rarely find myself making an actual phone call.  It seems that the hierarchy of communication has shifted towards text, because I don’t think of calling someone before texting.  If you’re still unsure of the benefits of texting over making a real phone call, well take look at this…

If you stick to texts, this doesn’t have to be you. Problem solved.  Go to The Oatmeal for the rest.

True dat. But I fear my dependency on texting has lead to increased awkwardness when I actually do make a phone call.

I would much rather talk to someone than twiddle my thumbs between texts. Some social inept people use texting to compensate for their poor communication skills.

On another note, I could not date a girl who texted me everything she had to say. That’s annoying.
