This week, Jerk brings you a list of our first favorite songs, most of which are highly embarrassing, but that’s what we do for you.

“I Love You Always Forever” by Donna Lewis
My first favorite song was I Love You Always Forever by Donna Lewis! Just over and over and over, either in the car or on my personal cd player with matching head mic. Yeah, like britney spears wore. – Nina Elias, Smut Editor

“I Shot the Sheriff” by Bob Marley and the Wailers
My 14 year old babysitter did not appreciate the fact that I knew how to work the record player and would shout the words to this song when we went for walks through the neighborhood.
Kate Holloway, Executive Web Editor

“I think we’re alone now” by Tiffany
It was the first tape I owned. I had one of those kick-ass bikes with
a boom box attached to the front and would tool around with Tiffany on
repeat, wooing the neighborhood boyz. – Maggie McGauley, Business Director

“Crocodile Rock” by Elton John and “When a man loves a woman” by Michael Bolton
I belted both around the house whilst rocking a mullet and singing in a broken antenna as a microphone. – Ray Lapena, PR Rep

“It wasn’t me” by Shaggy
I jammed out to this tune with all of my fifth grade comrades while my Mom drove us to Friday night ice-skating in her light blue mini-van, and looking back it really disturbs me that my poor Mama had to listen to a bunch of 10-year-olds belt these risque lyrics in unison: “Picture this, we were both butt naked, banging on the bathroom floor.” – Krystie Yandoli, Blog Editor

“Man I feel like a woman” by Shania Twain
I’m pretty sure [this was] the first song I ever remember singing over and over and driving everybody crazy
Rebecca Leviton, Fact Checker

And of course, something from Katie Allyn

    Wonderful picks, especially the last!

  2. Megan says:

Not gonna lie, I blasted “It wasn’t me” while in the car with my mom, too… oh, childhood.

  3. Anne says:

All awesome choices. I seem to remember “Heaven is a Place on Earth” on my list

  4. Kate says:

just listened to this play list and realized “it wasn’t me” comes right after “when a man loves a woman”

it was surprisingly a smooth transition…
