The 2010 Grammy Awards air tonight on CBS–tune in at 8 p.m. to watch all your favorite mainstream bands take home their gramophones. One of the most popular categories, record of the year, contains a mix of country, alternative, and pop:
Beyoncé-Halo
Kings of Leon-Use Somebody
Lady Gaga-Poker Face
Taylor Swift-You Belong With Me
Black Eyed Peas- I Gotta FeelingThe win’s probably gonna be Black Eyed Peas. “I Gotta Feeling” is still number eleven on Itunes and it came out…how long ago? It’s been a while. Taylor does win everything, but she can handle ONE loss. Lady Gaga will probably get album of the year, but “Poker Face” is no “Just Dance.”
I love the Kings Leon, but “Use Somebody” just doesn’t have that awesome beat in the intro that makes you want to instantaneously tap your foot. I understand The Recording Academy claims to have a bunch of different criteria to make their decisions, but in the E.N.D, it’s all about how a song makes you feel.
I played “I Gotta Feeling” in my car over fifty times when it first came out and I’m still not sick of it. The Recording Academy can talk their shit and say it’s about the technical stuff, but the song has to be loved by a lot of people in order to win.
All I know is that…I gotta feeling that tonight’s gonna be a good night…for the Black Eyed Peas.

Your taste in music is so bad it makes my eyes bleed to read about it.
Thanks for the feedback Jon. Although I do love the Black Eyed Peas, this post was less about music taste and more about predicting the results of a major show on television tonight…the Grammys. But hey we all are allowed to have different music tastes…
