I Wish Paul Rudd Would Sing To Me

I’ll admit, I’m a lover of all movies. In fact, I can only think of a handful of movies that I’ve seen that I really didn’t like (and I’ve seen a lot of movies). Well surprise, surprise, I fell in love with another movie this week.

My beloved Paul Rudd strikes again with the movie Role Models. This brilliant comedy addresses the idea that community service is not only good for staying out of jail, but for brightening your spirit.

When Danny (Rudd), a grumpy energy drink salesman, proposes to his girlfriend, she dumps him, thus beginning the worst day of his life. After he is arrested for a laundry list of offenses, he and his best friend (Seann William Scott, another comical genius) are forced to do community service in a program where adults reach out to troubled children.

Personally, I love the idea of that program in the first place and when gorgeous, funny guys enter it, it only gets better. I love the idea of kids having someone to look up to other than their parents so they can talk to them about things they normally wouldn’t talk to their parents about like boobs or magical fantasy lands (watch the movie, you’ll understand).

As a fabulous end to a fabulous movie, Rudd proves that you don’t have to sing well to serenade your woman. You hear that guys? All you have to do is belt out a few versus of a song with her name in it and she is as good as yours. Or at least that’s what worked for Paul Rudd. But he might be an exception.

In conclusion, I have nothing bad to say about this movie, which may not lead to a very interesting review, but I did my best. Now get up and go watch Role Models immediately. Seriously. Go. Now.
